About Tottenham

Tottenham is amongst the most diverse areas in the Greater London area. The area is renown for its rich history, impressive transport links to all corners of London and beyond, the diverse background of its residents that make the community so vibrant and unique, the recent growth of the area and the businesses within, and of course the world-famous Premier League football club.

Tottenham has a very high young population, and residents of the area come from all walks of lives – with over 200 different languages spoken amongst residents. The area also benefits from a great selection of park and recreational spaces, which we have compiled into a list here. These include the Lea Valley Regional Park (for Tottenham Marshes), and Bruce Castle Park.

The area also has many local and grade listed buildings. These include Bruce Castle Museum, the Almhouses along Bruce Grove, and All Hallows Church, the oldest surviving building in Tottenham, and the borough of Haringey.

The sense of community is very strong in Tottenham. There are many community groups and organisations, which include the Selby Centre, which is vocal and supportive to the local community, who cater to their needs and requirements through offerings. There are also strong links to education through the local schools and colleges, with strong links also to retail, business, healthcare, and accessibility.

We have a young population - the average age of a Haringey resident is 34.2 - for England this figure is 39.3
