Event Description:Safeguarding Adults: Raising a Concern and Immediate Steps for Voluntary Sector and Small Organisations- online using Zoom 29th July 10am-3pm
Broadening understanding of the different categories of abuse covered by the Care Act
- Subtle signs and symptoms
- Managers’ role – reporting and referring concerns
- Tricky issues - complaints against staff or concerns about relatives
- Consent and Making Safeguarding Personal – using advocates
- Mental Capacity and DoLS - Guidance, 5 key principles
- Record keeping
- Using Dignity guidelines to Improve services
- Working with the council and other professionals
