Safeguarding Adults: Raising a Concern and Immediate Steps for Voluntary Sector and Small Organisations- online using Zoom 29th July 10am-3pm

Broadening understanding of the different categories of abuse covered by the Care Act

  • Subtle signs and symptoms
  • Managers’ role – reporting and referring concerns
  • Tricky issues - complaints against staff or concerns about relatives
  • Consent and Making Safeguarding Personal – using advocates
  • Mental Capacity and DoLS - Guidance, 5 key principles
  • Record keeping
  • Using Dignity guidelines to Improve services
  • Working with the council and other professionals
