Dr Victor Olisa QPM
Selby Trust Chair
Victor Olisa has 35 years of experience as a police officer working in Surrey, City of London and the Metropolitan Police Service and he was the Borough Commander in Haringey from 2012 to 2016.
​
After retirement from the police service in 2017, he took up a position in academia as a Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics carrying research study into the culture of leadership.
​
During his police career he worked with police forces, civil society and human rights organisations in a number of countries that included the United States of America, Brazil, South Africa and Sweden.


Sophie Fitzsimmons
Selby Trust Treasurer and vice chair
Sophie graduated from the London School of Economics (BSc in Accounting & Finance) in 2012 and has since had various roles in the Banking sector.
​
Sophie is currently working in the Treasury department for a multinational investment bank, focusing on liquidity and funding management in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa. She is a qualified management accountant (CIMA) and continues to study for professional qualifications.
​
Sophie is originally from Doncaster however lives local to the Tottenham area and is enthusiastic about community economic and environmental development. She is excited to take on the role of Treasurer for the Selby Trust, as the organisation embarks on such a large transitional phase.
Cllr Anne Stennett
Selby Trust Trustee
Anne Stennett is a ward councillor for White Hart Lane ward and the Chair of Alexandra Park and Palace. She is Partner with Curwens Solicitors in Enfield, specialising in wills, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration.
​
She gives talks to local groups on her specialist areas including advice to families and carers of children with learning and physical disabilities, in relation to how the future needs of their loved ones can be met through their wills.
Prior to becoming a solicitor, she worked as a grants officer providing support to voluntary sector groups and a community centre manager.
Cllr Ibrahim Ali
Selby Trust Trustee
Cllr Ibrahim Ali was elected as a councillor in Haringey to represent the Bruce Castle ward, in which represents Selby Trust.
​
Cllr Ali works closely with community groups, local organisations, and residents to address key local issues, improve public services, and promote fairness and opportunity across the ward. He is passionate about building safe, inclusive neighbourhoods and supporting initiatives that improve quality of life for everyone.
​
Approachable and dedicated, Cllr Ali believes in transparency, accountability, and practical action, and takes pride in being an active and reliable voice for the Bruce Castle community.
Cllr Lucia das Neves
Selby Trust Trustee
Lucia das Neves was elected as a councillor in May 2018 to represent the Woodside Ward. She has worked in charity and non-profit organisations for over 15 years.
Most recently in community-led design and participation, she brings strong skills in marketing, volunteering and governance. She is excited to join the board of Selby Trust and to support it to continue to be a thriving, energetic and diverse force in our community.


Robert Danso
Selby Trust Company Secratary
Robert is a local resident, living on Selby Road since 1990. He has 15 years teaching experience in Ghana, including 3 years tour to the Middle East teaching English as a foreign language.
Since living in the UK, Robert has worked for over 25 years in procurement with British Rail. Robert also is a Pastor of the Temple of Refuge Church who congregate at the Selby Centre.
Stella Nwimo
Selby Trust Trustee
Stella Nwimo has been involved as a Elmhurst Road Neighbours Initiative member in Bruce Grove, developing an ability to negotiate and influence multi-faith, multi-lingual and inter-generational groups, engaging and enticing them to take part in events.​
Stella uses influencing skills to bring various hard to reach communities together. Collaboration is the mainstay of her day to day work, often working with difficult and egocentric characters. She is passionate about mixing and matching of ideas and sharing in the success or otherwise of a venture.​ She is passionate about diversity and finding ways to collaborate with hard to reach voices.

Paul Butler
Selby Trust CEO
Paul Butler took on the role of Selby Trust CEO in February 2019. ​ Paul came into the Selby Trust as CEO, bringing important knowledge of the area, the political landscape, our local communities and relationships with many of our key stakeholders. At the Selby Trust, we welcomed the established relationships he had formed with funders and key public agencies, and the hands-on experience of capacity building, change management, partnership development and governance that Paul brought proved crucial.
​
Paul has extensive experience of working within the community voluntary sector and has sat on cross-party working groups for inclusion and workforce development. He currently sits on a range of boards within the community voluntary sector and served on ACAS Council.
