Selby Trust invited to London Marathon

Being invited by the London Marathon Events Hospitality Team to the finishing line of the London Marathon, which saw record breaking results, was a proud and memorable moment for our Selby Trust. The experience provided an opportunity to celebrate not only the achievement of the runners, but also the dedication, teamwork, and commitment that our organisation values every day.

Standing at the finishing line and witnessing participants from professional and non-professional runs complete such an extraordinary challenge, reflected the same determination and resilience that drives our work and projects. 

From the atmosphere around the finish area to the professionalism of the team, the day felt both inspiring and personal.

For our organisation, being part of such an iconic event reinforced the importance of community, perseverance, and shared achievement. It was a valuable opportunity to come together, celebrate success, and recognise the people who continue to make a positive impact through their dedication and support.

This follows on from the recent announcement of Selby Trust gaining funding from the London Marathon Foundation for the Sports Hall as part of the Selby Urban Village development.
