Sports Hall Refurbishment Case Study

During the late Spring and early Summer, work was carried out by to refurbish our sports hall; with the refurbishment improving many existing facilities. This work included improvements to the changing room and toilet facilities, brighter new lights replacing the old in the main Sports Hall, and improving disabled access.

Crown Workspace have recently launched a case study over on their website highlighting further the work that went on earlier this year to complete the Sports Hall. You can find this here. We would also like to take the opportunity to say thanks to both Crown Workspace for helping improve our facilities and Sports England for awarding us the grant to allow for refurbishment works!

In Oct 2020 half-term (W/C 26th Oct 2020) our Sports Advisory Group reached in total 134 participants in boxing, basketball, volleyball, mafia moves (local running group) and cricket.

Paul Butler, CEO of the Selby Trust, and Jonathon Clarke, Trustee for the Selby Trust both spoke shortly after the re-opening of the Sports Hall about the benefits the refurbishment works bring to not only our regular users but to our local community. You can see what they had to say in the video below.
