Recently, our Global Garden Space at the Selby Centre has undergone refurbishment and improvement work ahead of the much-anticipated summer.
The work, carried out by Awtra Limited took place during the recent lockdown with the funding support from the School for Social Entrepreneurs and included improving the overall site, additional fencing installed and improving access across the garden.
We were also lucky enough to have two wooden huts installed within the Global Garden as part of the works.
The garden has also benefited from a large variety of new crops planted!
These include:
- Aubergine
- Chives
- Courgette
- Pepper
- Sweetcorn
- Sweet Potato
- Thyme
- Tomato
The work also saw Global Garden gain a new addition to its original counterpart – running along the side of our Sports Hall!
The work which also took place during the lockdown, saw the addition of the indoor greenhouse-aired style room, which also includes a variation of flowers and crops being grown across the site.
