Thursday 6th October 2022 Black Heritage and Future Dialogues Location: Fore Street Library Booking info: Register for free on the Eventbrite booking page.

A huge celebration event, featuring free screenings, free workshops that bring together narrative, design and storytelling, jungle, amapiano, R&B, hip-hop, drill, grime, rap, dancehall and reggae music, and more!


Thursday 13th October 2022 African-Caribbean Evening Location: Coombes Croft Library Booking info: Just turn up

The evening event will include: book readings, poetry recitals and discussions, reminiscence of things past There - and Here! Then - and Now!, an opportunity to reflect on life experiences from across the diaspora. Looking at, and using souvenirs, and things from the past e.g. pictures, objects.


Bring along any items you’d like to use to share your experiences.


Plus, author Dee Buchanan will be reading extracts from her book 'Messages from The Divine Mother' - a selection of spiritual conversations for women.


Followed by Q&A, discussion session and book signing, with light refreshments.


Saturday 22nd October 2022 EVL brunch - Black History Month Celebration Location: Millfield Theatre

Saturday 29th October 2022 Black Communities Healthy Living and Lifestyle Fair Location: Chestnuts Community Centre Booking info: Just turn up

A free fair for all ages promoting health and wellness in our local African and Caribbean communities.


There will be health professionals offering support for prostate, cervical and breast cancer screenings, stalls, seminars and workshops, natural foods, live music, beauty treatments, arts and crafts, a board games room and a Let’s Talk Organ Donation symposium.


You will also get a chance to discover the range of local events happening across Haringey promoting health and wellbeing.

This event sees a collection of amazing Black artists who work, live and play in Haringey come together to celebrate Black pioneers.


The night begins with ancestral drummers and dancers, we give thanks to those artists, heroes, activists, writers and storytellers that have created a pathway for Blackness.


On the night, a great line up of performers including Jermain Jackman, who won Series 3 of The Voice UK, Adenike Adewale, who appeared as a semi-finalist on season 10 of The Voice UK and Modupe Obasola, semi-finalist of Britain’s Got Talent season 7. They will be joined by local singer Loreal, Poet, Cuban Red and more.
