Crown Workspace, have helped ‘give back’ as part of their sustainable clearances by donating furniture, IT and electrical equipment through their Giving Back Project.
With development plans for a new Selby Centre, the Trust have been looking for colourful and modern items of furniture and equipment to fill their new space.
Since the start of 2022, Crown Workspace has enabled the donation of 109 items to Selby Trust, including 56 chairs, 23 desks and 10 sofas.
Along with the economic benefits for the organisation because of not having to purchase furniture, the donations also resulted in a saving of over 5 tonnes of CO2e.
“The furniture donated has been incredibly useful and has allowed us to provide additional training spaces on site for employability and professional training courses. The furniture is also used for our holiday club activities as part of Selby Active and has enabled us to increase the range of enrichment sessions for the children and attract a larger audience.”
