The Selby Trust in partnership with Embrace UK with funding from Gilead Sciences, Inc. are working on a HIV prevention programme and as part of that, will be providing FREE basic training on HIV/AIDS awareness and knowledge. The training enlists tools aimed at reducing risk behaviours and attitudes towards sexual practices.
The level 3 training will focus on HIV prevention and treatment as prevention. The training therefore covers:
Treatment as Prevention (TasP)
Antiretroviral Therapy (ART)
Undetectable = untransmittable (U = U)
Pre Exposure and Post Exposure prophylaxis (PrEP and PEP)
Condoms (male and female)
Pipeline researches
Zero new HIV infection
Zero stigma
Elimination of HIV by 2030
Embrace UK has competent and experienced staff who will be delivering these training sessions. Ample time will be allocated for exploration, discussion, and participation as well as asking questions.
