Haringey Diversity Celebration: 23rd April 2017, Ducketts Common 12pm

The 23rd of April this year will be the 40th anniversary since the "Battle of Wood Green".   In 1977 the National Front planned a march from Duckett's Common to Turnpike Lane. The march was disrupted by over 3,000 residents who did not let them pass. 40 years on, Haringey is one of the most diverse places in the UK and the Selby Trust are really pleased this event is taking place. 

The event is organised by Haringey TUC and will be taking place at 12pm on 23rd April 2017 in Ducketts Common, by Turnpike Lane Station and is free to the whole community.  For more info please check their Facebook and/or Twitter pages.
