Special Global Garden, Kitchen Event Sponsored by King's Estate Agents 28th NOV 2013

On the 28th November 2013 the Selby Trust will be holding a special Networking and Auction Event sponsored by Kings Estate Agents in aid of the Global Garden, Global Kitchen Project based at the Selby Centre in Tottenham. The event will start at 3pm in the nelwy refurbished main hall at the Selby Centre in order to raise crucial funds for the Global Garden, Global Kitchen project based on-site - including a special live auction hosted by Kings and attended by local and other  celebrity names.  In 2013, the project has raised £10,480 through crowd-funding site Spacehive and will create an outside space for the community with terraced growing area, greenhouse, raised beds, rare vegetables, herbs, fruit bushes and trees. Not only that, but the Global Garden, ,Global Kitchen will support individuals with the skills and knowledge for improving health and the inclusion of other cultures through kitchen classes and peer learning through food and catering in the Global Kitchen.  The Global Garden Auction event is a chance to learn more about the project with a fun afternoon packed with prizes, exciting auction and netwroking with some of the UK and London's leading businesses and Organisations supporting the project. [[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"473","attributes":{"alt":"","class":"media-image","height":"360","style":"font-size: 13.333333969116211px; width: 200px; margin: 5px; height: 150px; float: left;","typeof":"foaf:Image","width":"480"}}]] Guests include Netball star and local coach Sasha Corbin, London Youth and others as well as high profile names, celebrity appearances and counsillors from Haringey and North London.  On the day, we will be auctioning a range of experiences, vouchers, exciting items and more to help raise more than £600 for the project and will be thanking supporters with a chance to celebrate at the heart of the community at the Selby Centre.  Items being auctioned on the day already include:

  • Two or Three-Course Meal with Prosecco at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen 

  • Special Items and more 

Get Involved!  We need your help to support the project get planting, growing and cooking in 2014. Your donations will help us make sure that we can offer great prizes and more for the auction event on the 28th November and your support will mean that we can do more for our communities to learn and develop their passion for health and wellbeing through acess to an open space where they can grow food, share their skills and tackle poverty. When you donate, we'll thank you online with your company logo or name and help promote your impact on the project as a key part of regenerating community space and changing lives in London in our newsletter, press and events. That's OK because for a limited time you can support the project by advertising the event at your house with a special display board meaning we'll receive a £10 donation from Kings Esate Agents.  Boards stay up for 4 weeks and will help us get as many people as possible involved in the project before the 1st December 2013. Find out more by emailing us with your name and contact number at selbytrustsm@aol.com You can also pledge to the project online from as little as £2, where you can see more information on the reasons the project is so important, where your money is being spent and whose already donated. More than 109 people have already pledged a huge £10,480 to make the project happen - but we only receive these funds once the project hits the target of £11,104 by December 1st.  Help us by giving what you can or by the 1st December 2013, or we could lose the whole amount.
