New Chief Executive at The Selby Trust

The Selby Trust is delighted to announce that Paul Butler is to be our Chief Executive Officer at the Trust from 4th February 2019, following Sona’s decision to depart The Selby Trust after 11 years as the Chief Executive at the Trust.

Paul already brings knowledge of the area, the political landscape, its local communities and relationships with many of our key stakeholders.  We welcome the established relationships he has with funders and key public agencies, and the hands on experience of capacity building, change management, partnership development and governance.

Paul is the Chair of Waltham Forest College, represented on the Board of Association of Colleges London Region and a member of the Mayor’s Knife Crime Strategy Task and Finish Group, and on the board of various charities too.

This is a pivotal time for the Trust as we, in collaboration with Haringey Council, Haringey’s Voluntary Community Sector and stakeholder partners embark on renewal, which will transform our built environment and services to become an exemplar for sustainable community empowerment at the heart of Tottenham.

We look forward to working with Paul.

Quote from Ed

“Paul brings a wide range of strengths to this challenging and demanding role. He has transformed community organisations, facilitated skills development programmes and recognised the importance of outreach and engagement, amongst his staff teams. He has been a national and organisational Chief Executive: leading a Somali consortium and Path National.

This is a key time for local communities, The Selby Trust and Haringey’s VCS and we welcome Paul’s leadership coming on board now, as we embark on a site transformation and develop and deepen the potential for collaborative opportunities with all stakeholders”.
